After years in the world of hospitality in Minnesota, we saw how the right bottle could transform a meal, spark conversation, and create lasting memories. That spirit still guides Grand Napa today.

Dwight Bonewell, alongside business partner Brad Ketz, brings a deep passion for wine, food, and hospitality to Napa Valley, guided by a vision to create wines that feel both refined and welcoming.

The Craft
Where it begins.
At the heart of our winemaking is Stéphane Vivier, whose old world expertise and hands-on approach shape every bottle. Born and raised in Burgundy, France, Stéphane trained in the region’s prestigious vineyards before refining his craft at top estates in California. His philosophy is simple: let the vineyard speak.
What makes Grand Napa stand out is not just our wines, but our philosophy. We honor time-honored European winemaking traditions while embracing the bold, pioneering spirit of Napa Valley.

Though Grand Napa was founded nearly 20 years ago, in many ways, we’re still the new kids in the valley. Surrounded by some of the most renowned wineries in the world, we welcome the challenge. Great wine is not built on reputation alone; it is forged through passion, precision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Stone Crib Single Vineyard
Rutherford estate.
The Stone Crib estate rests on the original Rancho Caymus land, tracing its roots back to George Yount in the 1830s, before Napa Valley had even taken its name. Its identity comes from the historic stone structure that still stands on the property today, featured on the front label of our Stone Crib Estate wine as a lasting tribute to the site’s early agricultural heritage.
The vineyard was replanted in 1999 to Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and continues to be refined and elevated through a focus on quality, precision farming, and thoughtful stewardship.
Today, Stone Crib is a true single-vineyard site in the heart of Rutherford, positioned on the valley floor benchlands known for producing some of Napa Valley’s most structured and age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines reflect this place with depth, structure, and the signature character often described as Rutherford dust.
